All participants of Saturday competitions (50 km, 28 km, 15 km) will receive a bag with:

• some Sponsor gadgets,
• A Celebrative T-shirt of 2023 edition,
• A Finisher medal,
• Typical products

All participants of the gastronomic walk will receive:

The fee for athletes of sports associations registrating before 15th April, will be the cheapest one of the chosen competition.

REGISTRATION FEES REFUND

Registration fees won't be refunded in any case. Athletes can give their race number to other athletes within 30.04.2023.

EXPO AND RACE NUMBER COLLECTION

In the "Parco dell'Acqua" there will be an exposition area, where technical sports companies and local producers and farmers will present their gastronomic and handcrafted specialties.

On Thursday, 5th May, there will be a free Pasta Party, offered by Pia Confraternita di Misericordia to all athletes showing their race number.

Race numbers can be collected by participants at the Expo area, showing their identity card with photo and the confirmation letter of the registration:

5th May, 3 until 8 p.m.

6th May, 6 until 8 a.m.

All the possible modifications of place and time for race numbers collection will be communicated on the official website https://creteultramarathon.it

The competition briefing will take place at 6 p.m. of Friday, May 5th

RACE NUMBERS

Race numbers will follow progressive order and will have a different colour, according to the different kind of race. They must be weared VISIBLY for all race long on the athlete's chest and nowhere else, otherwise participants could be disqualified.

Race numbers have a chip on, that must not be remove.

STARTING

Saturday, May 6th 2023. 8.30 a.m.

Participants of the 50 km race will start first, then participants of the 28 km race, then participants of the 15 km race.

The competition will take place in all weather conditions.

REFRESHMENTS

Refreshments for athletes will be provided all along the routes. The final refreshment is provided and managed by UNICOOP FI

MAXIMUM TIME AND TIME BARRIERS

Maximum time for each race are the following:

50 km race - 10 hours

28 km race - 6 hours

15 km race - 4 hours

Athletes who would like to continue over the maximum time would be personally responsible of all consequences that could happen.

In case of bad weather conditions, the organisation could decide to temporarily suspend the race, or delay the start, or change the routes, or cancel the race without notice.

ABANDONMENTS AND RETURN

In case of athletes abandoning the competition during the race, they must communicate their decision to the closest check point. The staff will pick them up and get them to the arrival area. There will be people of the staff following the last participant, who will help abandoning or injured athletes to come back to the arrival area.

SAFETY AND MEDICAL ASSISTANCE

Along the routes there will be ambulances, doctors and civil defense. Medical and sanitary plan is organized by Rapolano Pia Confraternita di Misericordia. There will be a dedicated phone number that injured athletes could call. Official Doctors could decide if participants are not able to continue the race.

TIMING

For competitive races, timing will be registered by the chip on the race number. The responsible Company is Detecht S.r.l. -MySDAM official timer - ENDU Partner.

Timing is registered in real time, detecting the time interval between the participant's departure from the start line and their arrival to the finish line.

If the chip on the race number will not be correctly used, timing will not be registered and the participants will not be registered in the final ranking.

RANKING AND PRIZES

Timing service will automatically draw up the general male and female overall classification, which will be available on the website https://www.endu.net.

Each participant will receive the Finisher medal.

The first three athletes of each category in the overall classification, both males and females, will receive trophies and gifts.

Two more prizes are for SPORTS Associations:

Prize in kind for the Association with more registered athletes;

Prize in kind for the Association coming from the furthest land.

COMPLAINTS

Complaints must be lodged in writing to the organizing committee within one hour from the ranking publication. The complaint fee costs 50€, which will be refunded in case of committee accepting the complaint.

ROUTES MODIFICATION - RACE CANCELLATION

Organization can modify without notice the routes of the race, such as the rescue and refreshment points. In case of bad weather conditions, or of other reasons that could endanger the participants' safety,  beyond the organization's control, departure time could be delayed or canceled, routes could be modified or decreased or competition could be stopped.

These decisione will be made by the Jury of the event, in accordance with the responsible people for the safety and with the medical staff.

There will not be refunding of the registration fees in case of modifications, suspensions or cancellation, but a bonus or a discount for the 2024 edition of the Crete Senesi Ultra Marathon.

INSURANCE

An accident insurance is provided. Participants to the race are responsible for their health, and they give up any appeal against the competition organization in case of occured injuries after the Marathon. Athletes must not take part to the race if healthy unsuitable or athletically not prepared.

DATA PROCESSING

Under regulation EU 2016/679 GDPR and D. Lgs. 101/2018, all athletes data are required in order to draw up the participants' list and the final ranking, to update Crete Senesi Ultra Marathon archive and to carry out services, such as sending informative material from the organization and their partners. Failure to provide data will not allow the organization to admit the athletes.

Participants can exercise their rights according to the aforementioned decrees.

IMAGE RIGHTS

Through their registration, participants expressly allow Crete Senesi Ultra Marathon organization and their partner to use images of the competition, in which they can appear. Photos and videos could be spread for promotional material for all the time the applicable law permits.

UPDATES AND FINAL ADVICES

The organization committee can modify this Regulation at any time, in order to give a better service to all participants. All the modifications will be communicated to the athletes and published on the official website https://creteultramarathon.it

The Crete Senesi Ultra Marathon organization is committed to publish updates about routes and race conditions on the NEWS tab of the website.
